PEMANFAATAN LINGKUNGAN SEBAGAI MEDIA UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS SISWA KELAS IV SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

The purpose of this study is the use of the environment as a media, to improve learning outcomes of Social Sciences. This research method uses a class action research method developed by Kemmis and McTaggart, where the number of cycles is not determined, but adjusted to field conditions. In general, the stages of action interventions for each cycle go through four stages, as follows: 1) planning; 2) actions; 3) observation; and 4) reflection. In the implementation of learning cycle I, student learning outcomes reached 66% or only 3 students achieved mastery learning from 10 grade IV students. While the implementation of learning cycle II shows the results of learning shows the desired improvement. The learning atmosphere that has been seen in an active, creative and fun process. In cycle II the results of the learning process increased to 92% or 10 students have achieved mastery learning. The results achieved in this study means that it has been proven that by the use of the environment as a learning medium, learning outcomes in learning social science increase much better compared to teacher-centered learning learning.
