Pemetaan Sebaran Padang Lamun Pada Wilayah di Kecamatan Kei Besar

Abstract

Indonesia has various potential regional resources based on geographical conditions as an archipelago and one of them is a coastal area. The lack of planning and spatial use in coastal areas causes various problems in management, either ecologically, socially, or economically. The activities of coastal communities in Kei Besar District have an impact on the seagrass ecosystem, such as parking fishing boats around the seagrass area. Therefore, this study aims to determine where the distribution of seagrass beds and damage to seagrass beds on the coast of Kei Besar District, and to map the extent of the distribution of seagrass beds. The method used is a quantitative method. This method aims to determine the results of image analysis and then describe the situation under study in detail. Surveys have been carried out (field checks) and used Landsat 8 imagery data for 2019 which was processed using ArcGis 10.5 software. The results of the Landsat 8 image analysis in 2019 produced a map of the distribution of seagrass beds with a distribution area of 954.71 ha, which is spread across the coast of Kei Besar sub-district.
