Upaya Peningkatan Hasil Belajar Peserta Didik Kelas IX-A Pada Mata Pelajaran IPA Di Masa Pandemi Covid-19 Melalui Penerapan Metode Penemuan Terbimbing

Abstract


To support vital role in determining student learning success, teachers must have one of the main competencies, namely understanding, mastering, and using various appropriate learning methods and following the subject matter and abilities of students. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the learning mode used is online mode with a reduced learning time duration. The formulation of the main problem raised in this study is "What are the learning outcomes of Class IX A MTs students. State 1 Manado can be improved through the application of guided discovery methods in science learning activities during the covid-19 pandemic?”. this study aims to obtain an overview of improving the learning outcomes of Class IX A MTs Negeri 1 Manado students through the application of the guided discovery method in science learning activities during the covid-19 pandemic. The benefits of research results are to gain experience in conducting research and reflecting on their learning. Students are accustomed to being independent in learning, growing confidence in expressing opinions, and reducing dependence on teachers. The research was conducted with a 2 cycle scheme, and each cycle was carried out 3 times. The research subjects were 32 students in class IX-A. The result found that there is an increase in student activity during learning using the guided discovery method. The teacher's activity is significantly reduced in each cycle, meaning that the teacher has acted as a facilitator in learning activities. Meanwhile, student learning outcomes increased. Cycle I showed the learning mastery of students which was originally 76.67%, increased to 81% in cycle 2. Likewise, the absorption of the curriculum increased from 79.29% in Cycle 1 to 83% in Cycle 2. it can be concluded that the implementation of The guided discovery method in science learning can improve the learning outcomes of class IX A MTs students. State 1 Manado.
