Abstract


Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengurai beberapa landasan mengenai pendidikan kewarganegaraan dalam perspektif sosio-kultural konteks pendidikan non-formal. Penelitian ini berangkat dari asumsi bahwa pendidikan kewarganegaraan tidak cukup hanya diajarkan di dalam kelas dan sekolah saja. Artinya, diperlukan upaya lain yang tidak kalah pentingnya, yakni di dalam kehidupan masyarakat. Artikel ini menguraikan landasan filosofis penyelenggaraan pendidikan kewarganegaraan dalam domain non-formal. Dikaji juga dari perspektif yuridis formal dalam perundang-undangan di Indonesia, dan bagaimana secara sosiologis urgensi pendidikan kewarganegaraan di masyarakat.
